Yearly Overview:  Download

Our topic this half-term, as is the case with the rest of the school, will be influenced by the late, great Roald Dahl. The specific focus of our topic will be a personal favourite of mine- George’s Marvellous Medicine. We will be exploring the story during literacy, science, PSHE, art and even some numeracy lessons!

In our classroom, we have the opportunity to enjoy a cosy reading corner filled with some of Roald Dahl’s classic stories, as well as our creative writing area, which should inspire some marvellous ideas!

I am certain that we are going to have an excellent start to the year, making lots of new friends, learning lots of new things, and having fun!

I hope you’re excited as I am!

Home Learning

This half-term we will be considering all sorts of crazy concoctions for our own marvellous medicines! At home, you could think about some of the weird, wacky and wonderful ingredients you might throw into your saucepan, and what effect the potion might have!

Homework will be set on Fridays, and collected the following Friday. Please try to read with your child for at least 10 minutes a night.
