Our theme this half term is

‘Hook, Line and Sinker; The Sea and the Seaside

  • Literacy will include poetry, information texts, writing our own stories and fictional recounts.

  • In numeracy, we are looking at measures, position and direction and problem solving.

  • Habitats and all living things in science.

  • In history we will be exploring how the seaside has changed over the last 60 years.

  • Rounders and athletics in P.E.

  • Jewish stories in R.E.

  • Road safety and people who help us in PSHE.

  • In art, we will be looking at George Seurat and Frank Newbould inspired pieces.

  • In design technology, we will be focusing on textile skills, creating clothing that will promote a global warrior message.



Peover Hall and Farm Trip 

The wind and rain didn’t stop us having fun with the farm animals and the lovely worms at Peover Hall and Gardens! We met sheep, lambs, rabbits, cows, chickens, runner ducks and Farmer David. Thank you to Suzanne for looking after us all day!

We had a fantastic creativity week this year raising lots of awareness about deforestation and the orangutans. Through music, drama, art, design technology and dance, we explored our topic, ‘Global Warriors’. We even spent a wonderful morning working with our friends from Nether Alderley in year 4. Mrs Frame’s Alfie was excited to work with us!

What a fabulous Arts Week learning in an enriching, creative curriculum.
